Royale Ranch
Royale Ranch was founded by Emily Bertrand alongside her Cousin Cody Czeitler, and long time friends the Calder Family.
Royale Equestrian Centre in Barrhaven was founded in 2007 by Emily and her Mother Dawn.. From there they were able to build a successful equestrian centre that has become an important part of our local community. With an emphasis on being all inclusive, giving back, and sharing a passion for horses. In 2020 when the opportunity arised to continue to expand and grow, Emily along her new partners; Cody, Craig, and Lindsay came together to start the Royale Ranch.
The Ranch operating as a separate business will still very much be inline with Royale Equestrian Centre vision and goals. The Ranch will offer us opportunities to grow and expand to share our love and passion for horses and training.
The ranch underwent major renovations and given a complete overhaul. The farm had deteriorated in the last serval years and was left vacant. The farm was left delapitated and in a sad state from the once thriving equestrian centre, and we are proud to have put all the hard work into it to bring it up to modern standards.
Cody Czeitler CEO of Alteck Group (construction company) will be responsible for the many improvements and upgrades at the farm. Cody along with his beautiful family J'aelle (wife) and children Violet and Sky live on the property, always keeping a eye out on things.
The Calder Family have been long time friends, riders, and clients of Royale Equestrian Centre. Lindsay has been riding since childhood and has shared her passion of horsemanship and riding with her daughter Payton. Craig has enjoyed watching the riding culture and experience strengthen and has helped create a strong, responsible and compassionate personality in his daughter. Lindsay and Craig have taken the opportunity to partner with Emily and Cody as they support the vision of Royale Ranch - an evolution and extension of Royale Equestrian Centre.
Together we are committed to bringing great value to the Ottawa area. The relationships formed with both the animals, and riding companions, builds the Royale “family” relationship.

Rich In History
The farm was originally founded in 1958 as Greenbelt Riding School by Gina and Eric Kahrer Since 1958, Greenbelt Riding School has been a place where new friendships and partnerships began. In the last 61 years, countless riders have found their partner and their love for our sport after walking through the front gate. Greenbelt was a second home for kids and adults alike and the memories made here will last for a lifetime. Offering camps, horse back riding lessons and more. The farm has a rich history in the Ottawa area of building budding equestrians many who when on to compete and become riding coaches in the Ottawa area. On May 4, 2019, Greenbelt closed its doors after decades of running a busy riding school it was time for Walter Kaher son of Gina and Eric to retire the at age 75.
